Jeremy: For this comic, I put the call out to anyone who was interested in having their likeness in an Ouro Bros. comic, for the part of the store clerk.  Using one of the photos submitted, I aged the person a little bit and stuck a moustache on the character.  For now, I will let those of you who submitted photos see if you can guess whose likeness I used to create the GPS HUT clerk (as well as anyone else who wants to venture it).  Please feel free to comment on this comic with your guesses, as well as anything else you would like to add via comment.  I will update this post with the correct answer once you all have had a chance to comment and guess.  Thanks for stopping by!

Jeff: On behalf of the management, I would like to apologize if any of my compatriot’s entry there sounded vaguely at all like he might have been pandering for comments or traffic on our site. The truth of the matter is that we most decidedly do indeed wantmore comments and traffic. Hands, as they say, down. Any hesitancy or indirectness on my esteemed partner’s part was in error, and for that, I apologize. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Jeremy: And after you comment on the site (wink and nudge), head on over to The Lancast to listen to our first ever podcast interview for The Ouro Bros!  David Moulton and Chad Diller (of U-StickIt Graphics, filling in for Daniel Klotz) invited us onto the Lancast to discuss our roles in this webcomic, as well as other fun and zany antics.  We had a great time.  Thanks, Lancast!

Added 9/17/10:

Jeremy: As was foretold earlier, here is my update.  The clerk likeness originated from this high school photograph of Keith Eiser, a local reader.

The genesis of Eiser Boyman

As I said before, to create the cartoon version, I used this photo, aged it a bit, and added the moustache.  The resulting character is a Boy/Man composite.  So I named him Eiser Boyman (pronounced Boy-min).
