Jeff: Yes, believe it or not, we are nearing the end of the Lancaster storyline, here. The good news is that there’s still time to discover a new character trait about our dear Stan Ouro: Crippling camera-shyness. Well, it’s probably the camera and not the cyclops thing. Although I might be a bit creeped out by a slam-dancing pirate… I’d be pretty wary of him if any of his extremities have been replaced with rusty metal and or pegs.
Jeremy: This particular comic doubles as a shout-out to my buddy Allen Clements of Postage VFX. Years ago, when he moved to Lancaster, PA, we became friends and came up with this crazy idea about… breeding pine trees. Actually, we wanted to create a documentary about Lancaster, PA’s Chameleon Club, where a portion of this O.B. storyline takes place. Unfortunately, my involvement did not move very far past filming a few interviews and some research, as right around that time my band was getting ready to embark on a month-long tour in Europe, and things just got overall pretty crazy in my camp. But Allen kept up with it over the years and enlisted the help of some excellent people to complete it. It will be hitting the film festival circuit pretty soon (check out this link for more details).

I don’t know what it is about Camera’s, I can talk to people all day long but I just can’t talk into a camera, it’s hard enough getting a picture taken. I think it has something to do with not seeing a reaction back at ya as you do when talking with people. Maybe the documentary will propel the name of the Ouro Brothers and get them recognized more. They better do what they can to keep Elle around, she’s definitely proven to be an asset.
I went to a concert many, many moons ago out in the middle of now where and got to see slam dancing, mosh pits, etc. live. I had always heard of them and watched them on recorded concerts, but to see them in person….even without a pirate involved I wasn’t akin to get in the middle of those slam dancers. It was like watching a bunch of college guys chest bumping to a beat.
The band was awesome, very hard core, but I just enjoyed head bangin’ on the side line versus body bangin’ (that sounds dirty) in the middle of the crowd.
Great job on Panel 2, the line work to make the camera view and the displays on the camera, it looks great. Poor Stan, his moment in the spot light turned into a deer in the head lights.
hahaha body bangin’. Definitely haven’t partaken of that at a show. Especially with a bunch of college guys.
The duders are looking crazy skinny in this one for some reason. Did they just rock all their weight away? haha
just working on getting them to look a little more human-proportioned. If you check back in previous comics, you will notice that this change has been happening gradually for a while now.
I actually went back before I posted that to see if it was gradual or not. Looks good. I don’t know why this is the one that really makes the changes stand out for me. I think it’s the sweat.
haha they’ve definitely “lost weight” since this: http://ourobros.com/2010/06/17/applesauce-and-john/
“You space bastard! You killed my pine!”
I knew I could count on you, Chris
Didn’t see the slam-dancing pirate coming. A fascinating mental image, for sure.
