Jeremy: It’s a second week of pop culture references here at Ouro Bros central! Now that we are safely outside of the Lancaster, PA storyline, we thought it would be fun to be able to continue to offer some more fun one-offs before we delve into the next planned story. I think after each multi-strip story-building set, you will find that we will present comics that stand alone, and could be any day on the tour, just to be able to give you all more insight into some general day-to-day happenings for the Bros. Even though this webcomic is generally long-form in nature, it’s good to break it up a little with these kind of snapshots, however pertinent (or non-pertinent… impertinent?) to the overall story arc they may be.
Jeff: Once again, I’m wowed by Jeremy’s mad skillz in illustration. Pretty awesome Arnie, there, buddy!

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time… like tears in rain… Time to die.
Nice ref, man! Blade Runner for the win!
My lame reference was gonna to be to ask “do GPS dream electric sheep”?
This is great guys. Now we know why GPS units often lead people down dead end roads into the desert, have them turn when there is no road causing the unsuspecting motorist to careen into a bridge or down an embankment. It’s not that the technology is faulty, it’s that after a while the lines between what’s a dream and what’s real become so fuzzy for them that they often find themselves still working to exterminate the human race without even knowing it.
Great reference to Philip Dick’s novel and Blade Runner today guys in the Title and Terminator in the strip. I just love that y’all used the 309 Calder C address on the GPS unit. Awesome! I just love ya’lls pop culture references.
Thanks, Todd! It’s certainly fun to make blatant, and not so blatant, pop culture references in this comic. Helps to let a little more of our personalities shine through (especially Jeff’s!).
Totally awesome!
