126: Broken Record
Jeremy: Stan really doesn’t seem to be taking this well at all. I mean, if I had only one guitar and was on the road with no money to get another one (and I was a real guitar player), I would probably shut down, too. Chris really knocked it out of the park with the dramatic panel 2 EXTREME point of view. Also, I want Chris to draw a comic for me with just puzzled bunny rabbits.
Jeff: So cute! I believe I shall call him Sir Mopsy. Because you see how alert and proper he looks? Of course he’d be a “Sir”! And the squirrel is Arnold “Ha, no, not that one!” Palmer. Because he is.

When the critters of the earth come to marvel at the new addition to their abode and fear nothing, then you know Stan’t gone way down the rabbit hole. I really feel for him, not just because it was is only guitar but because it was one his father gave him, a definitely irreplaceable item.
I agree Jeremy, Panel 2 is amazing. Chris, you did an amazing job with this sir. Awesome indeed. Love how you’ve expressed the time expanse by the formation of whiskers on Stan.
Our boy Christopher. I’m so proud of that chap. I remember when he was knee-high to a critter of the earth. memories…
Picked up a card of yours at Small Press Expo in Md., though somehow I missed your table. (Were you there?) Anyway, I had to come check out the website because I laughed out loud when I read the title. Ouro Bros. neverending tour? Man, it’s been years since I tried to finish that tedious Eddison book! Your comic HAS to be better. I’m settling in for an archive binge.
Hi Nomi! I was at SPX, hanging out with some of my friends all weekend, and attending the show. One of which was Chris Williams, who is the guy doing the current art run for the strip (we had a baby recently, and I took some time off from art duties to adjust). Chris was exhibiting at a table there for his regular comic christophercomic.com, sharing it with Perry and Lee from tamacomic.com and littleguardianscomic.com (respectively). Hope you enjoyed your time at SPX; it was my first time there! We hope to have an Ouro Bros table for SPX 2013. Let us know what you think of the comic after you do the archive dive! And thanks for checking out the comic, based on a business card (glad to see that those cards drew some people here)! 🙂
Didn’t take me long to get through the archive, since you don’t update that often (hint, hint). Loved it. Added it to my RSS comix feed.
Thanks for reading it all, Nomi, and for adding Ouro Bros to your feed! It’s awesome to get this kind of direct feedback from new readers on the site.
