243: Rage Against The Machine
Jeff: Hey, friends! I wanted to talk a little bit about some of the amazing people Jeremy and I have come into contact with over the past five years of doing this strip. So much of what we’ve been able to accomplish has been in no small part due to the support and friendship of so many other awesome comic artists.
In particular, I’d like to call out our friend Ginger Dee who has graciously offered to color a handful of strips for us, beginning with this one. Being a Person of Colorblindness, myself, I’m afraid I miss a lot of the subtleties that go into coloring, but she’s done a pretty bang-up job, I think. If you agree, you should check out more of her (and Chris Ludden’s) work at chrisandgin.com, as well as their newly relaunched webcomic, The Brothers Grant. You won’t regret it!
Also featured this week is another guest visit by Moose, who is directly inspired by Elk from Ed Cho and Lee Cherolis’ fabulous comic, Little Guardians. And eagle-eyed readers may note that Lee himself is perusing the ukulele collection. Aside from being an amazing artist, and an incredibly accurate 10th Doctor Cosplayer, the guy’s just a fantastically nice person, and we’ve been honored to share table-space with him at SPX.
I could continue to gush, but I’ll stop here. Well, nearly. We couldn’t do this without the help and support of either our friends, or you — our readers. Thank you. Now I’ll stop before this starts to sound like a PBS pledge drive.
