Jeff: And so, plans are being made. Stan and Elle are putting together a mega-tour, but concerned about the lack of van space. Bal and Chester are prepping for van renovations, but concerned about the lack of cash. …Is there an apt metaphor for the opposite of The Gift of the Magi?

I would say they should play “The Elbow Room” In NYC. I used to see a bunch of bands there. But when I just went to go look it up on the net I found out they closed down 🙁 But it would be fun for them to show to a gig and find out the place has closed down since they were booked.
As for names how about “The Boro Bros” “The Hobo Bros” “Oreo Bros” “Frodo Bros” 80’s pop band “The Nono Bros”
Great suggestions, Jason! I think my favorites are The Hobo Bros and the Frodo Bros.
Well the Bordello name would definitely get a lot of folks in the bar, but probably not for the right reasons.
Love the OB gag, great writing there Jeff. Let’s hope they never advertise them as the Orifice Brothers Jeff, the place would be filled with tons of Proctologists, and they are so anal about everything. *ba dum dum*
Once again Jeremy, you capture an environment so awesomely. I love the way you have the smear of the previous chalk behind the new name on the board in the last panel, and the way you break beyond the border as well. Great looking strip as always.
Yeah, I was really impressed with the smudged-chalk effect, too. Dude’s got chops. 😉
You guys can thank Photoshop’s Blur filters for that one 😉
Thanks, Todd! I am pretty pleased with how this one turned out. I had gotten some really thoughtful criticism from another creator, which led me to zero in on my presentation a little better. This is the first strip I did after taking some of his advice on word balloons and panels, in particular. Each new strip is a learning process!
The oral brothers, the Aura Brothers (new agey, eh?), the Ortho Brothers.
Shoot, if you’re in Philly, they should open a show for the Bacon Brothers!
Melody Inn in Indianapolis. Great little setup on the upper west side. If I recall correctly, right next door to a wig shop and/or a costume shop.
Thanks for the suggestion! A costume shop/wig shop, eh? hmmmmmm… (gears turning)
wait WHICH milkboy i know of 3 4 if you count the recording studio (matter of fact i knew of the studio first cause i had to walk past it to go to work everyday)
What you see above is the side of the Milkboy club (not coffee or studio), the front of which is 1100 Chestnut St.
