Hey, all! Our pal John Wigger over at Zombie Roomie threw in a fun little reference to the Ouro Bros today. Check it out: Dirty Laundry, but I recommend not doing so while eating…

Behind the Scenes: #41

Hello, Dear Readers!

Ken Mueller, our friend, occasional patron, and often brunt-of-old-man-jokes, suggested we put up another BtS post about those photos on the wall behind our intrepid java-jonesin’ Elle. Well, how could I turn down such a request? (Quite easily, I realize, but I shan’t.)

First off, a closeup of the bulletin board itself, with the photos in question.

In there, we have:
My delightfuly picturesque wife, Nean Burkholder, the inspiration for our snarky barista, Jasmine.

A photo of a younger Chad “John the Stutterer” Diller, as featured in last week’s strip.

My partner-in-crime, Jeremy, and his (Jeremy’s superlative adjectives here) wife, Jamie, on a trip to Boston.

Jeremy again, albeit significantly younger, with his brother and sister during a trip to Niagara Falls. I believe Child Protective Services were called in immediately after this photo was taken.

And finally, a shot of Jeremy and Jamie’s daughter, as a baby, telling the world (and the photographer) just what she thinks of everything.

Behind the Scenes: #38

Hey, all–

Thought I’d finally add something to my side of the blog of the site here by showcasing some of Jeremy’s awesome talent. Ironic, no? Anyway, in strip #38, our intrepid heroes walk past a fairly distinctive glass-and-stone building that we only get the barest glimpse of. Herr Bentley spent a great deal of time drawing the full building, the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design in downtown Lancaster, so I thought it a shame that we didn’t get a better view of the building itself. So, here it is in all it’s glory: Enjoy!

Zorphbert, Fred, and the Ouro Bros.

Dawn Griffin, the creator of the webcomic Zorphbert and Fred, got married recently, and decided to take the month off from her comic.  She had a really cool idea for this little vacation, and that idea was posting a “Guest Art Registry” on the Z&F site where comickers and friends could sign up to do wedding-related guest strips that Dawn would schedule and publish on the Zorphbert and Fred site during her month vacation.

Well, Jeff and I put our names on this registry, and were honored to give Dawn and her new husband Rick a wedding tribute in the form of a comic strip.  That strip published today!  And some familiar characters just so happened to make their way into it too… 😉

So, I just wanted to write this blog-ette to congratulate Dawn and Rick on our site for their nuptials, and to let all of you faithful readers know that Jeff and I did a guest strip for Zorphbert and Fred.  Please take a moment to go check it out here and then read through the funny and very entertaining Zorphbert and Fred comic archives while you’re there!  Thanks!

Imy, A Rockin’ Comic

I thought I would write something a little different for a blog post on the Ouro Bros site.  Here’s the interesting part – It’s not about Stan and Balthazar, and Jeff’s and my comic! It’s actually about another webcomic, that goes by the name of Imy.  More after the jump.

Irma Eriksson, originally a resident of New Jersey, USA, now is a citizen of Stockholm, Sweden, and has been since 2003.  She lives with her husband in Stockholm, and a lot like Jeff and myself, she does a webcomic when she is not working her full-time job.
