Jeremy: I was pretty psyched to draw this one when Jeff sent me the script.  Never really drew guys in drag before, and the thought of dressing up our characters like the Bosom Buddies was a really fun concept.  Ah, the things one agrees to when playing shows sometimes…

This strip also allowed me to throw in a partially veiled visual shout-out to some of my friends, an awesomely rocking band by the name of Sadaharu, in the first panel (you boys know what I’m talking about).  It’s fun to throw stuff like that into the comics, and since I have the avenue to do it, there will probably be more visual shout-outs to friends, that I may or may not point out when I do it.

Jeff: When I sent the script of this one to Jeremy, I naturally pictured Balthazar as Tom/Kip/Buffy and Stan as Peter/Henry/Hildegarde. I think switching them around, as Jeremy did, actually made for a funnier visual joke. Particularly since you can still see Bal’s widow’s peak and sideburns under the wig…

And in other news, I’m vaguely horrified at being able to remember character names from a 30-year-old sitcom. Oh, and did you know that the theme music was a lamely-sung remade version of Billy Joel’s “My Life”? …Dag, I’m old…
